Pants

I finally got a chance to make baby pants out of an adult t-shirt. And it worked!

I even got fancy and sewed a patch onto the back. I first saw instructions about how to do this through a link on the Sew Mama Sew blog.

The shirt I used this time was a fairly small women's shirt and I made the pants as long as I could. I'm hoping to try the same thing with a larger shirt (to make larger pants) some day.

T-shirt. Dress. Done.

It's one of the dowdier-looking princess dresses I've seen, but it's finished! The cool party dress fabric I wanted to use (see last post) was too heavy. The fabric I ended up using came from an old bridesmaid's dress. I think it might be silk? Not the friendliest for washing. But this time the goal was to be fun, not practical. Yay!
