Recycled t-shirt scarf

Saturday afternoon is crafty afternoon! Today I made a scarf out of an old shirt, following a pattern from Save This Shirt by Hannah Rogge. This is a genius way to use old shirts/t-shirts that have lost their zip or that never fit right.  I can't decide whether to keep it for myself or share it--and it's probably not appropriate to post pics of potential gifts here. But it turned out so well that I can't help posting a photo.

Kleenex Box Blocks

This is not very crafty, but it's an idea I had for home-made blocks that also keep us from having to recycle Kleenex boxes right away.

They are a bit of a bear to store, but they allow me to both re-use and then recycle. Plus I think they're kinda pretty.
